Julika is the CEO of Eradicating Ecocide Germany & Austria and is the leading legal advisor for a law of Ecocide in the German-speaking world. She is a German lawyer, based in Vienna, Austria.
Julika qualified as a lawyer in 2005. She specialised in business law and holds a Masters Degree in International Trade and Investment Law. Her educational and professional path has taken her around the world, allowing her to gain academic and practical experience in different jurisdictions, including the UK, South Africa, France and Brazil. During and after her education she worked with some well-known and prestigious institutions, including a global law firm and one of Germany’s umbrella organizations for the business community. Julika’s broad and international exposure is unique and give her an invaluable perspective on the law and its international, economic and comparative dimensions. Since its inception, Julika has contributed to the Eradicating Ecocide Initiative in various capacities. In 2012 Julika completed a Design for Sustainability course at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and submitted a design case study for the transition of a Swiss town to a sustainable settlement. From 2006-2007 Julika lived in the Findhorn ecovillage, working for the UN affiliated training center CIFAL Findhorn. Contact Julika here.
